M.I was also part of a select list of Nigerian entertainers appointed as sports ambassadors for the Rhythm ‘N’ Play initiative from the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM).

The short black boy received an honorary award from President Goodluck Jonathan.

Others who were made ambassadors include fellow Chocolate City rapper Ice Prince, actor Emeka Ikeand Chelsea FC footballer Victor Moses
