One of Nigeria’s prominent recording labels and entertainment companies Chocolate City, is expanding its business across Africa – the company has announced commencement of business in Kenya.
The label’s artiste M.I who also doubles as the company’s vice president made the announcement in Lagos today, saying the Kenya launch will hold on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Museum Hill in Nairobi, Kenya.
‘Our aim is to create a platform for the growth and expansion of East African music and foster more mutually beneficial collaborations with other African sub-regions’, M.I explains.
Choc City has been toying with the idea since last year; In November 2004, they signed their first Kenyan act Victoria Kimani.
